The Ibanez PC12MHCE-OPN features a body crafted entirely from African mahogany,
producing a distinct, sonically pleasing warmth combined with a woody, punchy
sound.
Mahogany is well known for its mellow warmth and resonance, and the tone
produced makes it perfect for blues enthusiasts. In addition, African mahogany´s
unique and internal dampening qualities create balanced across the tonal spectrum
and produce a crisp, strong fundamental. With the wood being slightly harder than
other species of mahogany, the Ibanez PC12MHCE is able to expand its frequency
response, which increases the production in overtones for a rich, and beautifully
melodic full-bodied sound.
