Desert Sand is a very light, very unsaturated reddish yellow colour similar to the colour of sand. It can also be defined as a deep shade of beige. Desert Sand was used by General Motors as a paint color for their first Cadillacs. Fender started using it in the late 50’s, especially on their Musicmaster and Duo-Sonic models. It was also used on some lap steels of the time.
This two-component polyurethane based guitar finish features great hardness, covering power and light protection. Mixing ratio: 2:1 with catalyzer 100144. It is recommended to dilute 10% with Solvent Nitorlack to adjust the viscosity.
